Review: Revlon PhotoReady Airbrush Mousse Makeup

Standard

I adore this foundation! I wear the shade Vanilla, which is the lightest one. I am pale so I wear the lightest color in pretty much every foundation I own. Unlike its Maybelline counterpart, a little goes a long way with this product. All you need to cover your entire face and neck is a dime size amount.

I prefer Revlon foundations in comparison to other brands. I find that they offer better coverage, and feature a wider range of shades. The consistency of this makeup is foamy and very light. I can barely even feel it on my face. I use on top of Revlon PhotoReady Color-Correcting Primer. IT leaves me with a smooth, even, poreless complexion. Overall, I am very happy with this product.

My Summer Beauty Products Cont’d

Hello lovelies!

Yesterday I wrote a post about my favorite products for my hair. Today, I am writing about my face products. Taking care of your skin is very important. If you don’t care of your skin, there’s no point in wearing makeup. So here goes:

1. First, I remove any eye makeup. I like Neutrogena Oil-Free Eye Makeup Remover. I like it because its not greasy and is safe for sensitive eyes, which mine are.

2. Next, I cleanse to take off face makeup and remove any dirt from my pores. For this step, I use Clinique’s Mild Liquid Facial Soap. This product is good because it is gentle enough for daily use and doesn’t leave my skin feeling dry and taught.

3. Then I moisturize. My skin is pretty dry, so this helps tremendously. I apply Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. I used to use the gel, but it is more for oily skin.

4. Next I apply an acne spot treatment. I use the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Spot Treatment. Its a salicylic acid treatment for blackheads and whiteheads.

5. The next step is eye cream. I use Anew Ultimate Contouring Eye System. It includes the cream and the elixir. In the morning, I just use the cream. At night, I use both.

6. Next, I use an anti-aging cream. I use Coryse Salome Competence Renaissance Anti-Age ARN-ADN Essential Visage Face Cream. It leaves my skin feeling hydrated and silky.

7. Finally, I apply a lip treatment. I use the Skinnygirl Lip Balm Scrub. It is $5 at Walmart and is very effective. It leaves my lips feeling smooth and hydrated.

My Everyday Makeup Routine

1. First, apply L’Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Primer. It helps illuminate the skin while also providing a base for the foundation adhere to.

2. Next, apply a light layer of tinted moisturizer. I use Sonia Kashuk Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 in Fair. It’s texture is lighter than a traditional foundation and it helps moisturize dry skin.

3. Next, dab on L’Oreal Magic Lumi Light Infusing Concealer. Like the primer, it brightens and illuminates.

4. Apply a powder foundation. I use Cover Girl Simply Powder in Ivory. It sets my foundation and concealer and helps keep away oiliness.

5. Next, apply the blush shade from the ELF Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder Duo to the apples of the cheeks, the forehead, and the jawline.

6. Apply the bronzer to hollows of the cheeks, bridge of the nose, and jawline.

7. Fill in the brows. This step is optional, but I always fill them in because I ear glasses, and my brows are very light and sparse.

8. Prime the lids with ELF Eyelid Primer. I really like this primer because it is not goopy and it works very well.

9. I really don’t like powder eyeshadow because it creases, so I use a creamier shadow stick, the NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Sparkle Nude. It is a very pretty bronze shade with a touch of shimmer.

10. Next, I apply liquid liner. I use Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eye Pen in Blackened Brown. When you apply it, it looks black.

11. This step is totally optional, but I like to add a fun pop of color to this neutral look. I apply a fun color eyeliner, like purple, green, or turquoise, to my lower lashline.

12. Next, apply the crease and highlight shades. I use shades from the NYX 10 Eyeshadow Palette in Caviar & Bubbles. For the highlight, use the 4th shade on the top row, and for the crease, use the 5th color on the top. I will put a swatch of these 2 shades at the end of this post.

13. Apply a coat of mascara. I always use black mascara no matter what time of the day. It intensifies and shows up more. I like ELF Lengthening and Volumizing Mascara in Black.

14. Finally, I use a tinted lip balm. I like Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Pink Blossom. I like Burt’s Bees products because I am environmentally-conscious and they are 100% natural.
